CLEANING PROCEDURES

SUPPLIES
- Disposable gloves.
- Disposable paper.
- Refill of toilet paper, detergent for washing machine and dishwasher.
- Microfiber cloths.
- Garbage bags for removing garbage and to have in toilet tins and kitchen tin.
- Vacume cleaner (might be in some properties).
- Floor mop.
- Bucket.
- Multisurface cleaner.
- Glass cleaner.
- Floor cleaner.
- Ceramic top cleaner.
- Antical cleaner.
- Clorine.
PREPARE
BEFORE GOING TO THE PROPERTY
- Make sure you bring with you all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Bring with you the clean laundry, if there is any.
- Make sure you know how many guests you shall prepare the property for and if there is any special requests, such as baby cot etc. (Make sure to bring it if requested).
- If number of next guests are unknown, prepare only main bedroom.
AFTER ENTERING PROPERTY
- Take a quick tour of the property, inside and out, to get an overview of its state.
- Open all windows and doors, to air out.
- Collect all rubbish and dirty dishes.
- Collect all dirty laundry, put them in the bags where you brought the clean laundry.
- Check dishwasher, if dirty dishes, turn it on.
- Check washing machine, washed linen? Bring back with the other dirty laundry.
- Check wardrobes etc. for towels and left behinds. Left behinds: report to PMT.
- Check and empty fridge/freezer and kitchen drawers/cabinets and empty for opened food and drink containers.
- Tablecloths and dirty napkins, blankets, pillow liners, stained duvets/pillows, curtains that has non removable stains. Report to PMT.
ROOM BY ROOM CHECKLIST
BATHROOM
- Ventilate.
- Sweep or vacume floor and drawers to remove hair and debris.
- Empty trash can and put in new garbage bag.
- Throw out all opened containers, such as shampoo and soap etc. and other left behinds in the shower. Hand soap by sink may be left.
- Refill toilet roll.
- Clean mirrors using glass cleaner and glass cloth.
- Wipe off the light on mirror, if there is any.
- Spray the shower walls and the mixer tap with anti calc spray.
- Clean with wet microfiber cloth.
- Rinse of soap with water.
- Wash outside of shower walls with wet microfiber cloth.
- Use window squeegee to remove water from shower walls.
- Finnish by using clean window cloth to dry off shower walls and mixer tap.
- Make sure there are no water marks, and it is shiny with minimum of marks.
- Open and clean shower drain. Remove all hair and soap residue.
- Leave it shiny.
- Wash inside of shower floor. Make sure there is no hair or soap residue left.
- Spray the sink and taps with anti calc.
- Open drain in sink, if possible, remove hair and other residue and clean.
- Scrub clean the sink and tap with microfiber cloth.
- Rinse off soap with water.
- Dry and polish with glass cloth.
- Clean inside drawers with multi surface cleaner. All hair and other residue shall be removed.
- Organise hairdryer, toilet paper etc. if needed.
- Clean drawers, cabinets, backsplash so all water-, finger- or other marks is gone.
- Wipe off light switch, doorhandles etc. and remove other marks/soiled areas.
- Spray toilet with clorin water, remember also the flusher.
- Clean toilet from outside to inside. Remember toilet base, before inside ring and make sure there is no urine or faeces marks on the toilet.
- Clean with toilet brus in the toilet.
- Dry off with cloth or paper.
- Remember to rinse of or clean the toilet brush.
- Look over the room, are all areas cleaned and stations refilled? Clean floor, wash your way out of the room, remember to close window and turn off lights.
- Leave room and do not enter again.
KITCHEN
- Ventilate.
- Vacuum or dry mop.
- Remove food and beverages from the previous guests. All opened containers in fridge/freezer, drawers, cabinets are to be removed. Only thing you can leave is oils, spices, coffee/tea and not opened containers.
- Empty dishwasher.
- Clean all dirty kitchen equipment and put back into place.
- Clean light switches etc.
- Check all cabinets and drawers, inside and out. Clean/vacuum and organise if needed.
- Clean oven, microwave oven, and stovetop if needed.
- Clean the interior of the exhaust hood, if needed.
- Clean garbage disposal station, if inside a cabinet, also clean cabinet, and doors. Put new garbage bag in.
- Clean dishwasher, empty and clean the filter inside. Wipe off residue and marks on frame and front. Remember to leave the dishwasher door a little open, to prevent bad smell and bacteria to grow.
- Spray and wipe down with multisurface cleaner and microfiber cloth: fridge/freezer, shelving and interior walls if needed. Countertop, ledges, and back splash. Leave the sink and the area around it for last, though you use this as your water station.
- When the rest of the property has been cleaned, its time to clean the sink in the kitchen.
- Empty sink of any residue.
- Spray with anti calc.
- Clean with wet microfiber cloth.
- Rinse off with water.
- Wipe dry with cloth or paper.
- Check if there is a minimum of one dishwasher tab or similar for the next guest. If not leave one. Also check if there is clean cloths and scrubs/brush for the guests to use. If not, leave one tablecloth and one drying cloth.
- Make sure you have completed all the tasks and look over the room to see if it is reset and ready for the next guests.
- Wet mop the floor, remember to close windows and turn off light, while you clean yourself out of the room.
BEDROOM
- Ventilate.
- Strip all beds.
- Remove all garbage and dirty laundry.
- Check all cabinets and drawers. Left behinds report to PMT.
- Vacuum, remember behind and under bed and in drawers, cabinets and behind doors.
- Dust all surfaces with a microfiber cloth and multi surface cleaner.
- Remember to dust off headboard, inside closets, drawers, lamps, shelves, lights switches, doorknobs, etc.
- Make up bed for number of next guests. Main bedroom, always make up for two persons.
- Lay clean new towels on bed.
- Look over and see if the room is ready for next guests.
- Wet mop the floor.
- Remember to close windows and turn of lights when you wash your way out of the room.
COMMON ROOM
- Ventilate.
- Remove garbage and dirty dishes.
- Vacuum. Remember under sofa, table etc.
- Vacuum sofa, chairs etc.
- Fluff pillows and fold blankets.
- Dust shelves, hard surfaces, pictures, TVs etc.
- Clean light switches etc.
- Clean/dust lamps, ornaments, etc.
- Clean/dust wall art, pictures etc.
- Clean any glass surfaces, such as windows, glass table etc. with a glass cloth.
- Check that the room is ready for new guests.
- Clean floor with wet mop and do not re-enter.
- Remember to close windows, shutters, doors, light as you clean yourself out of the room.
CLEAN.
- Windows and glass surfaces, if needed.
- Clean hard surfaces with soap and water.
- Vacuum soft surfaces (carpets, sofas etc.). If stained/soiled clean carefully with water. If it does not remove easily, report to PMT.
- Vacuum/dry mop all floors. Remember always to do under sofa, under and behind beds and behind doors.
- Outside area is to be checked and cleaned if necessary.
RESET ROOM
- Make sure there are garbage bags in all garbage tins.
- There shall be a minimum of 1 toilet roll in each bathroom with toilet.
- Towles and clean linen on beds.
- Detergent for dishwasher and washing machine, minimum 1 tab per. machine.
CHECK
- Visually swipe the room to make sure the “stage” is set for the next guests.
REPORT
All faults and damages etc. are to be reported to PMT as soon as possible.
